OOC: interesting idea Semaj. These monsters are mostly human (though distantly related to something else as well) so I'd think it should work (until they polymorph). ---- Both fail their normal saves (4,7) but one manages to make its magic resistance % and isn't effected, while the one on you fails to save (frozen in a scream, its poison shell dagger still in hand).

Pike never give up w/o a fight.
If the octopus' head, and eye, are visible, then Calpike will launch his fish body like a torpedo directly at the eye, accelerating into it as hard as possible.
If the head and eye are not visible then Calpike will swim back to the surface as fast as possible, praying that someone up there has a dispel magic or somesosuch.

You see your trapped companion attempting to break free biting one of the tentacles in half (hits with a 15, dam 2 pts) but remains held by the other arm inches ever closer to the creatures mouth. Being a sailor you recognize this blue banded octopus as a venomous sort common to northern waters. Its poison is so bad it can kill a man, never mind a fish.
You do see the psuedopod emerging from its den preparing to send 4 more arms your way, but see its eye and go for it (here goes nothing). With incredible speed and force. (You role an 18!) you smack into its head and bite out its exposed right eye (inflicting 3pts damage). Not used to such intelegent attacks and soring from its lost eye (save 7 moral) it takes off leaving a 10' wide cloud of dark purple ink behind. The two fish manage to find the helm in the murk and carry it out in their mouths. As you approach the entrance to the island cavern (the one that you just entered) you begin to feel a strong pull of water sending you out into the main cavern very quickly. Your certain this must be from the escape of water (threw the main cave below) that proceeds the rush of water that will be sending out waves in about 40 seconds. Your certain if you were still human in armor you might easily be pulled out by this massive tug.
Hanging on to the helm you swim with all your might, but are still pulled out to the center a bit and see the cave entrance below about 30 feet away. This entrance is bright, illuminating 100s of small silver bait fish as they move in and out with the massive rushes of water.
This beautiful site is suddenly disturbed however when you see a dark shadow approaching, a large hammerhead shark making its way in, picking off small fish now and then as it goes. Its about a 14 footer, and luckily for you the outflow seems to be slowing its forward progress down. However, you think once the inflow occurs its likely to be pushed inside. Hopefully it has its attention taken by the other many fish.

OOC: Axe, not home so cannot check PHB. Is the creature on me one of the held ones? Either way, TIberious will use his turn to throw the two magical axes at the creature.

Subdolus reaches the leader and swings with his scimitar hitting with a 17 and inflicting 9 pts damage and then with his Star Bringer dagger hitting with a 17 and doing 6 pts total. Tiberious moves back crouching down and throws his 2 axes, both missing! (2 and 6).
Zargon swings at the giant electric eel-sea witch on him (2 attacks this round) hitting twice (20 and 12) doing 16 pts damage total (however the creature is still up). To recap: Tiberious missed his completely, Zargon hit his 2x, Sub hit the leader 2x, and Sog magically held one (while another he attempted saved).
MONSTER COUNTER:
Tiberious saves from another electrical attack from the eel (taking only half damage for 4, and is also bitten for 3 (so total your down 15 HPs). You manage to avoid its attempt to get its body around you.
Zargon is also hit with an electrical shock and fails to save taking 9 pts damage. He's then bitten for 8 more points and the creature manages to entwine its fat eel body around you (preventing you from escape but not tieing up your arms; you also manage to keep standing). Zargon is down 31 HPs total.
Subdolus saves on the dot (rolling a 13) and dodges the greyish blue beam from the leader witches wand.
Initiative: 3,3 simo.
Subdolus you beat the witch leader (who won't go till 3+3=seg. 6). You role a natural 20 with your skimitar doing 5 pts total, but miss with your dagger.
You see the leader drop her wand and reach out for you, her arms transfroming into 2 huge blue crab claws. One misses your neck but the other hits your leg for 7! (your down by 19 HPs total by my counting).
Zargon recieves another shock for 13 pts (and doesn't save) but the bite misses, so Zargs down 44 total.
Zargon swings and kills his finally.
Tiberious saves again from his electrical attack but still takes 4 (now with 4 HPs remaining) and is missed with a bite (monster rolling a 1). He uses his 2 axes again, one misses but the other finally hits doing 9 pts and killing it (ripping threw its fat neck).
That leaves Sog. The only one standing is the leader which seems to be transfroming into a huge giant blue crab.
_____________
With the fish: the 2 pike find a depression along the steep shore of the island (which they think will be protected from the massive waves to come as well). They secure it in place (wedging it in) as they see the first pulse of water hit the surface, the 14 foot shark thrust into the main cavern with it...still hungry. After safely securing the helm you can move much quicker now, what do you wish to do?

Subdolus concentrates on using the healing power of his scimitar. He then swings again hoping to bring the witch down.

Zargon will fire a beam from his Gem of Brightness into the thing's eyes (1 charge), staying well out of melee range. OOC: Medic!

Sog rushes the transforming witch and swings, but his weapn bounces off her hardening body. I'll assume for now the Pike-adventurer's are attempting to hide from the shark.
Initiative: Monsters 5 group 1: The witch completes her transformation into a huge blue crab (10 feet across) much bigger then the typical giant crab some of the party has seen in the past. One pincher goes for Sub but misses with a 4, while the other pincher grabs Sog at the waist lifting him into the air and squeezes doing 7 pts of damage before dropping him. The crab starts heading out of the circle of stones and toward the giant pearl sphere.
Counter: Zargon fires his gem and blinds one of the giant crabs eyes (which are seperated on stalks 5 feet apart). It will take another shot to blind the other eye.
Subdolus swings with both weapons again, his scimitar bouncing off but his dagger punching threw the exoskeleton for 5 pts.
Sog swings again and hits (attacking from its blinded side I'm giving you a plus 2 to hit) creating a crack in its shell and causing blood to ooze out (for 7).
TO keep things moving I'll assume Tiberious swims back to the island and climbs back up the small cliff. He then throws his 2 axes one bounces off the other hits for 8!
Initiative: Monster 5, group 3. The giant crab rushes Zargon and attacks with one claw snapping onto his leg for 8pts damage. It then carefully picks up the pearl sphere (still glowing with an internal ocean) with one of its forward legs (using three finger like appendages on its end) and starts heading toward the water. Groups counter attack let me know what you want to do, the crab is 1 round from getting over the edge.
(Zargon is now at -1 but luckily thrown down).

If Sog is within range, he'll cast a CLW on Zargon to save him.
