Tiberious ask what is the status of the heal spells amongst the clerics? If none are left, it may be better to rest up somewhre, otherwise Tiberious agrees with the fighter and thnks it better to keep gong while the group has the element of surprise. Sogathan says: "except for one potion, I'm out."

The party looks for guidance from the yellow wizard but finds none, once again deep in thought. Smythus takes Subdolus and Sogathan's answers as votes to retreat to the wagon. "Its settled then, let us go back to the wagon. There Baramus can put on some new armor, and we can go to a place of relative safety where I may meditate and sleep and all can be healed."
Unless told not to the fighters bring along the burning bone fragment on a wooden table which they carry between them. The treasure is devided up and carried out.
When the party departs the dungeon they find themselves entering into a white out of heavy snow and strong freezing winds. THe walk to the wagon takes 5 minutes, and when it is reached you find the 2 guards shivering with blankets wrapped around them. "whawhhahwwhattts the pp.pplan" says Scarn looking toward the group.
The ranger thinks the the groups tracks (wagon and horses) might be hidden by the heavy snowfall (if the downpour keeps up the rest of the night). He mentions that the cave (which was a mile back the way you came) would be impossible to reach given the poor visibility and strong wind plummeting temperatures and suggests the group move instead to the ravine. Unless someone says differently the group reaches the ravine in 30 minutes. The walls of this deep channel go up on either side 100 feet. This completely blocks the wind and much of the snow and the wagon can pull in 200 feet before this steep crevice becomes too narrow. The ravine continues on into the darkness and could be investigated. Ice is begining to form on beards and faces and the fighters quickly set up canvas tents over the wagon and on the ground near it. Which tent gets the bone in it to give warmth? Will a fire be lit (the group still has a half-cord of wood (the other half being used to smoke out the giant scorpions). Post the guard, and does anyone want to investigate the far end of the ravine (its now around 2:30 AM)? If so whom, and what light source?

Not a chance. Sogathan needs his beauty sleep.

(OOC it seems Stranger may be out, so I'll just assume guard is the same as the night before at the woodline and then role random encounters.)
The group completes pitching camp at around 3AM. The firey bone the fighters took is placed in the tent with the clerics so that they will be most comfortable sleeping. On first watch a giant owl silently glides down into the ravine and attempts to attack and fly off with one of the horses; It grabs the horse, but dropped it moments later when the ranger and crow hit it with a spear and 1 arrow. The owl flies up and out of the ravine and the horse falls 10 feet landing badly with deep talon tears raked across its back....but is still alive. The ranger tends its wounds the best he can.
Second and third watches go OK.
