3 more Ghoul Zombies are brought down by the fighters...arms, legs and body halves fly.
Using his incredibly sharp sword Fletcher swings down at the unholy symbol cutting the platnum relic in half KABOOM! with a blinding white flash and a powerful explosion Fletcher is thrown 10 feet into the air and across the room (he takes 21 pts damage); the blast knocks the rest of the group down to their feet (all save and take 5 pts damage each accept Sog and the HO cleric who are far enough back) and kills 3 nearby ghoul zombies.
The room fills with the stench of sulfur and a supernatural chill causing everyones skin to crawl...the effects disipate slowly. After the explosion the Ghoul monkeys return and push their attack with biting and scratching furry, but Sogathan reaches out his arm with his own holy symbol and attempts to turn! The undead monkey flee in terror but too late as the majority are turned to ash instantly. The few survivors flee with speed high up into the canopy out of range and then beyond out of site (some disappearing into small holes far up on the chimney wall).
The others help the ranger to his feet, a blast mark covers his front but he seems alright otherwise. Fletcher reports his sword arm feels totally numb but he's otherwise awake. He is surely glad he didn't try to touch that relic (he thinks). In the spot where the broken unholly symbol lies the ground is covered in thick sticky black blood that seems to have run out of it.
ABOVE:
Tiberious, you get the impression you could attempt to fly in and pick up the guarded cup. Or you can press your attack as normal. Calhagan swings again this time his sword bounces off the snakes muscular body (and he takes 4 more points crushing damage). Subdolus dances around for his life as the snakes head focuses on biting him. Just as the snake strikes the lightning quick thief drops and swings hard with his skimitar rolling a 16 (hitting) and doing 9 pts damage, However his magical dagger misses.
Just waiting on Tiberious and I'll do monster counter.

Staying back in the air to avoid being bitten by the naga, Tiberious will thorw both of his magical axes at the head of the creature.

One axe misses completely while the other hits with a 19, inflicting 8 pts damage.
Counter Attack: The group below is not under direct attack, if they wish to join the battle up above they will have to remove their outer armor to climb (though Fletcher can climb in his armor, he'd still greatly benefit from removing his).
Above: The Monkey headed Naga strikes at Subdolus again, hoping to finish him off, but the Thief's fine silk like elvish chain male prevents the sharp fangs from penetrating into his flesh.
Initiative: simo (I'll do the monster first). Calhagn looses his ability to fight this round as his remaining arm is pinned and he disappears below the snakes massive coils (taking 4 more points of damage). The snake again strikes at Subdolus rolling a 20. The thief takes 7 pts of damage from the bite, but once again saves versus death poison with a 14 (lucky dog).
Groups counter: Subdolus misses with both weapons as does Tiberious. What do the rest of the group wish to do?

Fletcher will remove his armor and climb. When he gets to the top he will try to use his sword to cut Cal free.

Calhagn, unable to use his weapons instead attempts to use his strength to break free. Despite using all the strength remaining in him he fails to get loose (BBLG 77%).

OOC: I'll assume everyone in the lower party starts taking off bulky armor and equipment, preparing to climb up then. Its going to take 2 rounds to reach the platform.
Initiative: Group 3 monster 6. The Hauna Naga again snaps at Subdolus (rolling a 2) and misses, but inflicts 5 more points crushing damage to Calhagn. Tiberious throws his axes hitting with one for 6 total. Cal is unable to fight.
Initiative: Monster 3 group 6. Fletcher reaches the top first (from the fighters below) the rest can go next round. THe agile thief sees the fighter pull himself over and helps him up. He notes the fighter is now in light armor.
What does the group wish to do (anything different)?

Subdolus continues to press the attack figuring Cal won't be able to hold out much longer.

Fletcher attacks along with Subdolus. Both hit (Fletcher 16, Sub 2,18) inflicting a massive 22 pts. damage. Counter: The snake switches attacks to the ranger, hitting with a 13! Fletcher must role save vs. death and makes it with a natural 20!!! He still takes 6 pts damage from the flesh wound. Calhagn takes another 6 pts. damage (OOC: are you still alive?).
Initiative: monster 1 group 4.
Tiberious attacks but both axes bounce off. Sub misses both times as well. Ermanaric pulls himself over and attacks along with Fletcher. Both hit, and together chop the snake in half!!! (doing 31 pts).

Fletcher will attend to cal and stabilize his wounds if necessary. Assuming there are no more combatants, Fletcher will retrieve his armor.
By my calculations, fletcher is down to 36 hp
