Darian introduces himself to Rendolf and states the following, "Good to have another scout in the group." (At this point Darian looks to see if Rendolf has a purse with any weight to it) "I am glad to have another sword with us."
OOC: Are all 5 mercenaries still with our group? If so, Darian will suggest that he spend moe time shadowing the group (ie taking up the rear) when possible. This will allow him to be on the look out for anyone or thing following the group and to keep an eye on the new people in the group until they prove their loyalty. This should also allow him to utilize his back stab ability better. Of course, if the caller wants him in front that is where he will be.

Gorthakh nods at Darian.
"Yoo stay behind dem an' keep yore eyes skinned, hoomie. Krago can lead in da dungeons, an' dis Rendolf pink-skin can lead in da wild."

Yes the, mercs are still with you.
Don't forget the caller, (Gorthack?) still needs to post the route you are taking to the caves.

"Hail Rendolf! I am Gerto, proponent of positvely pure goodness, bringing justice to the vile creatures of chaos hiding in their cavernous lair." Gerto smiles and nods to the new arrival.

Finrod slaps the giant half orc on the back and says, "lets make that your last drink, time to move us out". Finrod checks his equipment one more time. Making sure all fasteners are in good order, and that equipment is secured tightly. He finishes smoking his pipe and puts it away, eyeing the room for anyone listening in on us. No doubt by now we must have attracted some attention.
Finrod suggest to Gorthakh that, given the numbers in the party, he take a position a little toward the back so that he might have more time to get off his lengthy spells. (he also doesn't trust the new members yet, and wants to be available for a spell if Darian sees anyone shadowing us from the keep).
Finrod makes sure Rendolph and the mercs have filled water skins and food before we leave.

The party sets off at daybreak the next morning.
Gorthakh divides the mercenaries into two squads of five. One squad of five will be under Finrod's command, the other under Melora's command (command is given to the highest-CHA characters on the grounds that their superior CHA will hopefully enhance the mercenaries' morale and loyalty). 2ic for Finrod's squad will be Darian, who will assume command if Finrod is busy or dies. 2ic for Melora's squad will be Gerto. Gorthakh, Krago, and Rendolf are excused command duties on the grounds that they will be needed in the thick of the fighting.
For the wilderness journey, the party arranges itself as follows:-
In the party's vanguard, Gorthakh places Rendolf and Krago. Immediately behind these two will be the healers, Gerto and Gorthakh himself. The left flank will be taken by Finrod and his squad; the right flank will be taken by Melora and hers. Darian will take rearguard.
We will initially proceed to the edge of the clearing which contains the dungeon with the druidic circles. We do so cautiously and quietly, allowing Rendolf plenty of time to check for tracks and see what's about.
If we make it to the edge of the clearing without incident, we will then turn northwards and proceed towards the Caves of Chaos - making sure that we stop well short of the mouth of the valley, out of sight of any of the cave entrances.

(I think we have only 5 mercs total, what about giving Melora 3 and me 2 since I have a dog).

Beg your pardon, Axe is correct. The merc split should be 3 and 2, not 5 and 5.

"It is quite a pleasure to meet you. I find your outspoken honesty very refreshing in a time when many a tongue is silenced from the fear of living in the shadow of chaos."

Rendolf will travel with his long bow in his left hand, ready for use. At Finrod's request, Rendolf ensures the proper food and water supplies were packed prior to depature from the keep.
