Hoping the charging PCs will help distract their attention, Darian will attempt to sneak up on the archers. If he can get close enough he will use longsword and dagger for a back attack. If he cannot get that close he will thorw daggers.
Before attacking Darian will also use Hear Noise or otherwise try to detect any other forces which may have been held in reserve.

Gorthack is hit during his charge for 3 points. Gerto manages to land a glancing blow for two points. Now that the party is closer, they can make out disticnt orc features to the attackers.
Darian manages to position himself behind the archers.
The orcs don't draw melee weapons, instead they attempt to withdraw.

From the shadows, Krago emerges and motions quietly toward his companion Darian for them to close the trap. He then attempts to backstab one of the withdrawing orcs.

Gerto presses the orcs backwards and into the waiting steel of the rogues. He will keep alert since there very well may be more orcs ready to attack.

Darian will attempt to back stab with hislongsword and dagger if any orc comes within melee range. (I beleive with Darian's dex. there is no minus to hit for his prmary weapon (longsword)).
If the orc is not within melee range he will wait for the orc to present its back, attempt to surprise and use the surprise segments to throw daggers.

If Gorthakh's charge has brought him into melee range with the orcs, he stabs one. If not, he hurls his spear at their retreating backs.

Although the thieves have difficultly moving thorough the Forest, krago manages to kill one of the orcs. Darian prevents the escape of another. The third however, manages to slip through.
The mercenaries scan the area looking for any other opponents.

Realizing that he could never catch the fleeing orc, Krago moves to assist Darian in the dispatching of the remaining orc.

Gerto will return to the camp, making sure that Finrod is still okay and to protect him incase anything else would attack. Hating to let one orc go, Gerto hopes someone with keen night vision and maybe a bow can attempt to stop the fleeing orc.

Gorthack is unable to hit the fleeing orc. Gorthack has trouble targeting him as he moves out of infravison.
The remaining orc throws up his arms in surrender.
Gerto and the mercs secure the area, there are no more combatants.

Krago orders the orc onto the ground while he asks Darian to stand guard and watch the general vicinity. He will then bind the hands of the orc and march him back to the camp.

Darian will attempt to hide in shadow as the group takes the prisoner and will shadow the group back to camp.
Darian will suggest we move camp a good bit away (and perhaps set some traps if possible where the old camp was located) due to the orc that has fled bringing back help.
