Tiberious will throw both of is magical axes at the tentacle holding the magician, hoping the magical bonus and +3 monk damage will be enough to free the magician.

Cadellin can't really do much...

Cadellin could attempt to reach his wand and fire it (he's upside down, but has free use of his hands.
Tiberious misses with one axe, but the other slices threw for 7 pts damage. Sogathan casts a light spell on the nearest tentacle creature, but it dodges the spell which instead illuminates a branch above it. This causes the creature (bothered by the light spell) to move out of its hiding position toward the group. Its body is thick and roundish about 8 feet across and covered in slime.
Zargon charges the arm on Cadellin and hits with a 14 for 11 pts damage. The arm is cut in two and the yellow wizard falls to the ground (rolling a 15 he can act next round).
Ermanaric moves to help Cal. His swing glances off the tough muscle for with a 2.
Initiative: Group 6 monster 2 you win.

Subdolus attempts to strike the creature from behind with his scimitar. Hoping he hasn't been seen.

Sub, you are unnoticed. Do you wish to sneak up from behind and backstab the main body?

Tiberious will throw his two axes again at the same creature he attacked before, while running over to the magician to provide cover while he assembles his rocket launcher.

Subdolus MS up the side of the oak and stabs the underside of the giant black octopus like creature. His sword sinks deep into its interior causing massive damage. His dagger however, slips off harmlessly. Both devious eyes turn toward you...it lives.
Sog runs over to his fallen friend and heals the Cadellin for 6 pts.
Tiberious hits another tentacle heading for the wizard for 8 pts. damage.
Zargon and Ermanaric charge the main body now on the side of the road held 6 feet off the ground by tentacles. Zargon hits twice inflicting 19 pts damage. Erm's blow slides off the tough rubbery skin. Calhagan misses the tentacle holding his legs fast (rolling a 2). What does Cadellin wish to do?

Pointing out his fingers he unleashes devistating blast of magic missiles into the black rubbery creature causing the creature to flee. Both fighters move in and chop the thing to bits. Black inky blood covers them by the time they finish.

Cadellin thanks his comrades.
=== OOC ===
I'm leaving on 17th December for a Christmas holiday for about 3 weeks. Cadellin acts in whatever way's most logical in the meantime.
In combat he'll aim to slow powerful creatures and charm powerful humanoids. Otherwise he'll tend to rely on his wand of lightning bolts and/or use magic missiles.

OOC: Have a great vacation Staurt, and stay safe.
Subdolus drops to the ground (on his second round of surprise) having captured the full attention of the black mass of tentacles, which drops down at great speed after him. As the thief turns to defend himself he's once again mesmorized by the swirling pupils, but makes his savings throw vs. hypnosis. The creature manages to get 3 arms around him and squeezes for 7 pts. He is then drawn to a beak like mouth and is delt another 6 pts damage as the beast pinches down on his thigh. The thief has no use of his arms or legs at this point.
Group wins new init (monster: 1 vs 5). You can book it into the woods to help the thief (you see the bushes shaking near the spot).

By the time the fighters make it to the location where Subdolus was last they find a black inky nausues gas cloud covering a 10 x 20 foot area. The cloud leads off toward the house, and you can hear the calls for help by Subdolus. Cadellin and Tiberious are the only ones not wearing armor, and are able to move quickly enough to cetch up. By the time they do so, they can barely make out the creature with Subdolus wrapped in 4 tentacles closing in on an open window of the top floor of the cabin. Tiberious throws both axes and both hit (14, 14) doing 16 pts damage! Realizing this is probably his last attempt before the creature makes it into the cabin, Cadellin raises his arms and lets loose another round of bright magic missles alluminating the din of the forest. All hit the head of the creature, blowing off the top portion and despite some powerful thrashings the creature hits the ground with Subdolus still entwined. Subdolus takes an additional 12 pts. damage from the squeezing and fall. The creature stops moving and the thief, with the help of his companions, is freed. Just as the rest of the group reaches the monk theif and wizard (about 60 seconds), huge droplets of cold rain begin to fall, and a strong wind begins swirling the tops of the trees around. Looking up into the dark sky they find a huge storm is approaching (or more accurately forming directly over the area, as if all the clouds in the surrounding sky were being drawn in). Massive bolts of lightning hit close by (toward the road were your horses are) brighten up the dark forest...the thunder shakes the very ground. As you peer up it seems the storm is growing more quickly then would be natural...as if magic were afoot. You hear an old mans high pitched cackle from inside the cabin. your skin begins to feel a crawl, like static electricity... What does the group wish to do?
