The wounded hunter nods respectfully to Rhialle, then casts his empty hand slowly around the vault with reverence.
"Chicomoztoc-Be-Here. Place of Seven Caves. Place of Seven Rests and Seven Lives-After."
The Red Man averts his eyes respectfully from the door, pointed to the mural of the cratered moon painted onto the keystone above the blank portal.
"Sign of The Smoky Mirror, the Shadowy Jaguar, Acopiltaczet. Never-We-Pass."

The barbarian looks up at the painted mural and shakes his head, he then looks back at the savage, "your friend here will die (pointing a finger toward the spell caster) he can't breath (pointing to my throat while simulating struggle) and your friend will never lie in piece unless we get that door open. So if you know a way you must show us".
Now in some panic, "Do either of you have magic that could open that door? I fear using my strength to try will take all the air left". Cair, perhaps you could blow it down?
Cleric, I once saw undead walking the earth doing tasks without breathing. Could you make these fallen foe into such things to smash down the door?

Terror and loyalty vie in the hunter's expression. He shrinks back from Rhialle, and points again at the mural. When he speaks, it is evident that anything that could bring fear to the man-slaying Rhialle is even more terrifying to the hunter.
"The Smoky Mirror! Lords-of-Death! Never-We-Pass!"
The Savage pulls back to the dais from whence he came, pointing at the scene of the puma, and looking beseechingly at Cair.
"Place-home mine is Chicomoztoc! Blessed one, join Hunt-glory-always."

"Animating the dead might be a good idea, we could always use them later if they can't open the door"?
Cair will examine the bat crest at the diorama. can it be removed? Cair will see if it can be matched up with anthing on the vault.

Rhialle, with great caution, examines the mural, looking for anything meaningful in it, or perhaps a button or secret compartment within it. He looks to see if he can make out a smokey mirror in the mural. If so he will push on it. He also suggests all the walls floors and ceilings be quickly scanned by the half elf for secret entrances, though why such a place would have a secret entrance leaving he has no idea.
And what is the depiction of the puma he mentioned. What activity is being portrayed?

Myhrra first investigates the holes in the door. She then searches the room for anything that may fit into them. If this is unsuccessful she also searches the walls for any moveable blocks, levers, triggers, gaps or holes.

Another torch is lit and passed to Cair as the companions try to escape the uncanny Vault of Chicomoztoc.
Cair finds that the bat sculpture is both firmly affixed and incredibly ugly - but perhaps his opinion is influenced by the fact that, when tugging on the little sculpture, he receives a paper-thin cut from a deceptively sharp edge on the bat-god's wing.
A droplet of blood wells up, and the charmed hunter sucks in an involuntary gasp and watches Cair in horrified and abject silence.
Cair loses 1 hp.
Rhialle's mighty frame is altogether focused on the moon mural - it seems the 'smoky mirror' described by the hunter might refer to the pitted white surface of the moon. And, looking closer, the Warrior makes a discovery!
The cratered moon on the keystone, ten feet above the door, appears to have a real hole cleverly disguised among the numerous black-painted craters.
Finally, crouching next to Rhialle, Myrrha finds them random spaced horizontally, but evenly spaced vertically - so that three rows are created at 2', 4', and 6' from the floor below on the 10' high door.

Rhialle points this oddity out to his companions "what do you two make of this"? If the mural is high up he offers to have the thief stand on his shoulders to examine the hole more closely.

OOC: Hmmm...
Only Axe has posted.
I've been busy myself, but how do people feel about taking a week off from this and checking back on July 3rd?

OOC: Sounds OK to me.
IC: Myhrra starts to search the room for anything that might fit into the hole. She pays special attention to the alter and the figures. If she has no luck there she studies the images to see if there is perhaps a piece that can be removed and used in the hole.

Let me try the Shepard's crook from the diorama, will that fit into the hole?

The barbarian growls, "If we can't open this door in the next minute we should break it down...raise the zombies!"
