I always thought he was just another goofy TV personality, but he's actually genuine. He's donated the money he has made from movies and TV to buy wildlife preserves. Something on the effect of almost 100,000 acres of land set aside to protect species. Amazing.

Seems kind of unfair that he dies, and all those jackass guys survive. Not that i don't like them, but Irwin was a genuine kind of guy. He even rescued a plane crash survivor in the middle of filming a documentary. Now that is pretty cool.
