Subdolus continues his attacks on the first creature hoping to help bring it down quickly so they can all focus on the new threat.

Fletcher's sword once again scrapes the surface but fails to penetrate. Subdolus's glowing scimitar rips through another of the tentacle like appendages causing it to quickly jerk back (inflicting 8 pts damage) his magic dagger only scrapes off. Tiberious can barely make out this fiend staring back at him, with 2 careful throws the agile monk of the White Dragon order attempts to slay the beast, but it quickly dodges the first, the second axe hits the creature but fails to penetrate its skin; instead the axe momentarily sticks to the creature before it rips itself free and returns to Tiberious, the tip of his axe blade now covered in a very sticky amber-colored goo similar but much more adhesive to the goo in the halway (btw the weapon is still usable). Monster counter: The floating beast shoots forth its 5 massive mouths to gobble up the party (AKA "The Gobbler"), 1 mouth hits Subdolus for 11pts damgae, 2 hit Zargon for 16, 2 hit Calhagan (roles 15, 20) for 15 pts damage! With that 20 Cal is lifted off his feet (save to break free 2) and is pinned and then pulled to the center mass which opens up and the brave fighter is shoved into what appears to be a stomach-like organ filled with bubbling acid taking another 11 pts damage (so thats 26 total) the organ then closes shut with the fighter held inside. (You are taking acid damage but kept hold of your sword (save 14) and can attempt to cut your way out). The strange saucer eyed beast looks very annoyed at Tiberious but instead focuses his attention at Ermanaric, pointing out an arm at the fighter, the powerful fighter suddenly feels extremely weak his strength reduced to an 8, dropping over 10 pts (save throw 6)! (so far the only one not hit or effected by a spell is Sog and Fletcher) Initiative: :Monsters 1, group 5. You win init. state what you'd like to do (the saucer eyed figure seems to be reaching out his hand toward the group again, perhaps to cast another spell).

Tiberious immediatley attacks the organ area of the tentacle thing with both handaxes, hoping their magic and the monks damage bonus to each weapon might have the desired effect.

Ermanaric suddenly drops his sword. His arm weaker, he grabs the handle of his lt. crossbow and brings it to a good aiming position. Facing the creature, he looks for a clean shot.

Fletcher will fire his bow at the caster.

OOC: Ermanaric, I assume your firing at the humanoid creature with saucer shaped eyes (if not let me know).
Erm raises his preloaded crossbow and fires rolling a 20! The bolt hits the strange creature in the shoulder doing 6 pts damage. Likewise Fletcher takes aim at the caster firing 2 arrows, one is dodged but the other a direct hit (with a 19) doing 5 pts damage.
Everyone else focuses on the floating Gobbler creature. Both of Tiberious's axes of returning hit with tremendous force inflicting 15 pts damage total, Subdolus slashes at the creature for 7 pts with his scimitar (but misses with his dagger) while Zargon double attacks (using his fighterb ability) one misses but the other hits for 11. Sogathan swings with his magical staff but it bounces off the creature harmlessly.
Deep in the gutt of the Gobbler Calhagan thrusts his sword into the tough flesh of the creature in the direction of what he thinks out is. You role a 16 (plus your bonus its high enough) and your sword penetrates the creature sticking out for all to see your still alive within. You do 10 pts damage and cause all 5 mouths to scream.
The highly corrosive acids continue to eat into Calhagan doing another 15 pts damage. The 5 heads strike out, this time 2 go for tiberious, and 1 each for Fletcher, Sub, and Ermanaric. Both hit the monk for 9 total; Erm is bitten for 4, Sub is attacked but ducks at the last second, but Fletcher is hit with a 20 with a massive bite for 12 pts damage! He attempts to break free (but fails to do so rolling an 8) and is shoved into the beasts stomach organ suffering an additional 20 pts of acid damage (so your down for a total of 37 pts damage). You did manage to hold onto your sword however.
The saucer eyed creature having had its spell disturbed jumps down and lands next to Ermanaric. Now that its closer you can make out some detail. It stands 7 feet tall with long arms and 3 fingered hands with huge claws. It has a fish or frog like head and no neck and seems to be covered in clumps of ambery sap. Smiling it reveals a gaping mouth filled with sharp teeth which it bites the weakened Ermanaric for 8 pts damage, another claw hits for 4 but the other scrapes off his armor.
Initiative: Group 5, monsters 5. I'll do the monsters first: Both trapped fighters take additional stomach acid damage: Calhagan takes another 13 pts damage while Fletcher takes another 20 (holly bajeezus) so Fletcher is down 57 HPs and Cal is down 54 taking him to zero! The five heads strike out again, this time only Subdolus and Tiberious are hit; Tiberious takes 8 pts damage and Subdolus 3 pts.
Group Simo: Calhagan gets another attack at the creature before going unconscious hitting it for 13 total and killing it (causing it to crash to the ground). Fletcher manages to cut his way out rolling a 14 and grabs his comrad (Fletcher takes 5 mor pts damage and luckily Calhagan 4 (so your at -4) pulling him free of the hulk .
What do the rest do?

OOC: Looks like I am down to 1 hit point.
Fletcher will pull Callahan into the tunnel and stabilize his wounds.

A frowning Ermanaric curses and throws his crossbow at the creature's face. Weakened, and without a suitable weapon he desperatley lunges for his long sword.

Tiberious, free of the Gobler, throws both axes at the frog eyed caster before it can attack the weakened fighter.

Zargon, oblivious to his disappearing hit points, keeps attacking.

Fletcher pulls Cal back into the tunnel and stabalizes his wounds the best he can. Both of Tiberious's axes fail to hit the creature, while Zargons blade fails to slice into the creature and actually gets stuck to a glob of ambery tar which the beast uses in an attempt to pull his weapon away (Zargon just manages to hold on to it). Ermanaric weakened by the strange magic of the beast picks up his long sword (now much heavier in his arm) and swings but completely misses. Subdolus I'll assume also attacks with his weapons, both fail to penetrate the sticky body and his dagger is ripped from his hand when it gets caught in the sap (do you have any other magical daggers?) also if you like next round you can try to pull the dagger free.
I'll assume Sogathan retreats back to the tunnel and casts heal upon Calhagan whom he brings back to consciousness (Calhagan is back to 3 HPs).
Initiative: 5,5, simo. I'll do the monster first: the tall and slender creature charges Zargon this time, its gaping mouth bites down hard on his armor but fails to penetrate, his two clawed hands however rip at his flesh for 11 pts damage. Now stuck to the fighter in its gooey sap the creature gains another attack sequence: This time it bites for 5 and rakes for 3 (so this round your down 19 points).
At the same time Zargon swings his sword which fails to inflict damage and also gets stuck in the creatures thick globs of incredibly sticky goo covering its body.
Tiberious's weapons manage to pull themselves free but once again inflict no damage. Ermanaric charges forward and swings but fails to hit, somehow his sword doesn't stick to the creature (aiming for an area without goo perhaps).
What actions do Subdolus and Sog wish to take. Fletcher and Cal would need to move closer to the battle to get to the creature (as your comrads are too close to it to use missiles). You can tell some of your equipment might have been destroyed by the acid, but you'll have to wait till after the battle to figure out what).

OOC: Any change of Zargon getting clear, with or without his sword?
