OOC: I'm going to assume Sog gives Ermanaric the two potions of longevity.
It takes both potions to transform the ancient looking man back into his youthful appearance. Infact, the potions brings ERmanaric to the age of 24. His full strength is restored and he seems as dangerous as ever.
The two scouts followed by the rest of the group (bringing the prince) walk back threw the royal suite and eventually to the grand stairway that you came up to reach this portion of the castle. There you see the problem. A huge cave in has blocked the stairway preventing anyone from coming in or going out. After another 10 minutes of clearing the rubble a hole is made large enough for people to crawl threw. First you see Zargon, still weak and with his arm in a sling. He looks happy to see the group. He is followed by 3 extremely tough looking fighter types in plate. They have burn marks covering them and some gashes in their armor. Blood covers their weapons.
"Are these the ones you told us of Zargon"? "It is the prince, the prince has been found"! Screams out one of the Royal gaurd. The message soon spreads throughout the castle. After the initial excitement the horror of the deaths of the king and princess are discovered. This brings a gloom back to all, as does the fact that the prince is still recovering from his captivity with the ghost wizard.
Several powerful wizards finallly show up and clear the rest of the passage using telekinisis and tensers floating disk spells. The group is brought down into the Royal Guard's interogation room (basically a torture chamber in the dungeon). After some powerful ESPs and detect lie spells, the group is considered to be telling the truth of the events that had past. THe king and princess are unaffected by the speak with the dead scroll, and despite several attempts of raise dead, neither can be brought back. The Royal Guard, consisting of 300 crack soldiers, have you stay in their portion of the castle while what to do with you is panned out. The Grand Council is in shambles, with 1/3 its members assassinated or killed during the attempt on the castle. You are told Scangara the head of the Yellow Tounge Guild is under investigation, as some of his high level monks were found to be involved with much of the mayham. Still, his influence is so great that he holds his position.
After 2 days of waiting (all the party is brought back to normal HPs) the prince awakens from his mental slumber. His grief over the death of his sister and father is extreme, but he still thanks the party for his rescue and that of his sister. And their nobel attempt at saving the kings life. He honors the bargain set months earlier and each of the members is allowed into the royal treasurey.
Combining your treasure from the adventure with the treasure of your weight in gold and some other gifts bestowed to you by the prince, and then evenly split, each party member recieves 35,000 Gold Pieces which are converted into gems that can be carried as well as 1000 GPs in PP and Gold.
Your then informed you must leave Grime for now, as there is a contract on each of your lives by the assassins guild as well as powerful forces at work trying to have you "brought to justice"
by the Grand Council. Considering its three members most loyal to the crown have been slain, you don't think you'll stand much of a chance. The group is brought threw a secret tunnel that leads to the Wee Jas temple during the night and then escorted to the harbor where your sailors take you to your boat.
Your told this vessel is not known to be yours and still assumed to be that of the barbarian. The General of the Royal Guard A grey haired fellow bearded with one eye express their greatest gratitude making each member a member of the brotherhood of Gralzdor, the society they keep made up only of the Royal Gaurd members most trusted. You are apparently, there first non-Guard members.
The morning tied changes and before the sun comes up the crew are ready to depart. General Bezter tells the group they might be trained to the south at the next large city.
