Best to head back to Grime. Maybe no psychotic witches will be waiting on us this time.

As the boat begins to steer away toward the marked river the lights become much brighter, more enchanting, more beautiful...suddenly members of the craft begin to feel an overpowering urge to get closer to these pulsating multi-colored lights as they turn red, purple, blue, yellow, green, gold, etc in a mezmorizing patterns. All feel the urge to jump in and swim toward the lights though some fight it off (failing their saves: Tiberius, Fletcher, Ermanaric, Princess, Dwarf 2, and Half Orc cleric). Tiberious jumps in but Subdolus grabs his legs holding him to the side of the vessel. Fletcher is grabbed by Semaj (who commands him to freeze using the spell "command" (fletcher fails to save with a 2), Ermanaric jumps in and begins swiming. Luckily he only wears his leather tunic (having taken his armor off); dwarf 1 grabs the princess around the waist and flings her back to the deck, however, the second dwarf jumps over as does the cleric half orc (both swiming at full speed toward the lights).
Initiative: Monsters 3 group 2
Moving quickly toward the boat and the incoming swimers are 3 jellyfish like creatures popping up from just below the surface. These horrid masses move with purpose propelled by long tentacles. Before the group can act Ermanaric, the half orc and dwarf are all entwined (19,13, 14). Stinging darts within the tentacles cause the dwarf to become paralysed, while the other 2 attempt to fight free (without success) and may be taking damage!!!
On the boat, Subdolus fails to hold Tiberious who breaks free and begins swimming at full speed toward the nearest glowing mass, The princess fails to break free, and Fletcher is held fast by Semaj's staff which turns into a giant constrictor and wrapping around his thighs. This is a quick command so Sogathan can do something else as well.
Also, What actions do Zargon and Calhagn wish to take against the dreaded things? You could use your bows or something else (Calhagn, your in your heavy armor, remember you wanted to keep it on, so swiming over to help won't be possible). Paddling over would be impossible as well, since no one can row at the moment.

We might as well investigate, so far we have gotten some pretty good loot.

Calhagn places a boot, firmly not crushingly, squarely on the princesses back and uses his bow on the jellies.

(I'll assume your first going to help out Ermanaric).
Your boot holds the girl face down into the bottom of the boat (it has to hurt) but is better then drowning or worse, being eaten.
Both your arrows hit the glow jelly causing massive damage. I'll assume Zargon takes your lead and also fires at the same one. Both his arrows hit home as well and that Jelly releases ermanaric and begins spiraling around in its death throws. Just then 2 more Glow Jellies rise from the depths 20 feet away.

Seeing that Erm is ok "for the moment", Calhagn launches arrows at one of the 2 new jellies that just popped up.

Subdolus sends out his rope to anchor onto the leg of Tiberious.
OOC: Deja Vu it's almost like I've done this before.

Subdolus's quickly throws the rope toward his fleeing friend and like some skilled fisherman cetches the monk like a fish, snagging onto his leg. The half elf then begins to pull him back to the boat, not so easy a task.
Ermanaric begins to swim away from the tentacles of the new creatures approaching while 4 more arrows fly over his head and hit into the one nearest (almost killing it). In the mean time the half orc's screems are muffled out as he is dragged down below the water, as is the dwarf to a gruesome fate (infact, you see the dwarf being shoved into the glow jellies gullet as it descends into the deep.
Initiative: Group 3 monsters 2. Ermanaric sees another 3 of these creatures popping up and realizes trying to help the dwarf and half orc will be impossible, without a weapon he starts swimming with great speed back to the boat.
Subdolus drags the fighting monk into the boat, securing him with his magical rope for the moment. The remaining dwarf looks horrified at watching his friend dragged down into the icy waters and eaten. With a mad scream he fires off a heavy crossbow at the nearest Glow Jelly doing 4 pts damage.
What actions do the rest wish to take (zargon, calhagn, Sog). Five glow jellies start heading toward the boat propelled by their long tentacles. The only one still in the water is Ermanaric, who is swimming as fast as possible (I assume) back to the group (and is half way between the boat and the nearest jellies.
OOC: to speed things up I'll act for the group. The 2 fighters fire another barrage of arrows (all hit) finishing off the Glow Jelly already hit by the dwarf. Sogathan throws a rope out to Ermanaric who is able to grab on and the bug eyed cleric with all his might starts pulling on the rope while telling the others to start paddling away as fast as possible. The fighters grab the oars and start pulling for all they are worth!
The Glow Jellies are eventually outrun by the nimble boat as it approaches the far side of the lake and the main river (marked with the eye).
The group barely has time to remorse the loss of the dwarf as rapids are heard in the distance up ahead. The dwarf only spits and says good riddance when the princess mentions the loss of the half orc and his spells. Sogathan heals Ermanaric bringing him to normal.
Before heading down river, the party waits until everyone comes to their senses. With Fletcher back at the tiller the group heads into the passage marked with the eye.
The boat crashes threw another series of intense rapids, some with steep falls (where water swells over the boat drenching all) and low blocks of ice from the glacial roof that must be ducked or a head would be smashed. IF not for the low blue illumination of the filtered light, Fletcher would have hit several areas that would have spelt doom. After a full 5 minutes of the worst rapids the ranger has ever experienced the group lands in a small lake of clear water and a barrel ceiling of blue dripping with water from above. Probably near the end of the glacier. Fletcher thinks the group has traveled 4-5 miles already.
Ahead is the exit you think as it is marked with 2 columns, and is squared off. A small step pyramid of ice juts out of the water in the middle of the lake. It reaches 14 feet high and 20 feet wide at the base. As the group crosses the lake a voice appears in each persons head (ESP). You may pass but leave your gems on the bottom step of my temple! A shadow is seen hovering near the top step.
