OOC: my spells are the same standard ones carried:
1st Cure Lt. Wounds (x3) Light Protection from Evil
2nd Slow Poison Hold Person (x2) Find Traps Speak with Animals
3rd Dispel Magic Speak with Dead
Also note that my schedule is a little screwy at the moment and I may not be available to keep up to the minute... so don't be afraid to NPC me to keep things moving.
In this case, Sog will try a Dispel Magic on the halfling just to see if it will work. Regardless, on the next round he will throw his magical mace at the tentacle creature and then wade in with staff in hand.

The dispel seems to work, and suddenly the ancient halfling stops laughing.
OOC: I'm going to assume the rest of the fighters run to the aid of the princess and king, the most immediate threat to them is the demon which is trying to manuever around the dwarf and his comrad.
Both the dwarf and other rolyal guard (both obviously experianced warriors) attack twice each round (suggeting a high level). The dwarf hits with his magical blade cutting off a tentacle, and then bounces off the fleshy surface of its inner body. The other grey haired fellow uses a bastard sword and shield. His blade slices twice into the main body causing a nauseous spillage of puss.
Of all the PCs, only Ermanaric hits with his sword, doing 11 pts damage. I'll assume for now that Tiberious and Subdolus wait and move closer to the halfling while he's destracted.
Counter: The prince starts moving to block Cal, but the slow won't allow him to do so. The halfling puts his wand down and raises his other hand toward Cal. Suddenly a thin white ray shoots toward him. (OOC: you role an 11 to save, 2 short of what you need) You try to dodge the beam, but it hits you in the chest doing 52 pts of cold damage! I think your at 2 hps.
The puss demon attacks all opponents with 3 tentacles a piece. They reach 15 out and end in what look like scorpian barbs. The dwarf is hit by two as is his grey haired freind. Both have already over a dozen such rips threw them. However, your party has split the creatures attention. Fletcher is hit once for 6 pts, and saves vs. a acidic puss injection. Ermanaric is hit twice however and fails once for an acidic injection for 5 pts acid damage, for a total of 16 pts damage. Sog is hit with one tentacle reaching out for 5 but saves vs. its injection. Cal and the two scouts aren't hit.
Init 2, 2 you guys go first.

If the halfling is within 10' of Cal, he will attack him, if he's further, then Cal will charge him.
OOC: At this point, a CLW wouldn't likely save the fighter. The only hope is to engage that lil' SOB, so he can't do more harm to the rest.

Oooh, dispelled halfling!
Magic missiles, full spread, all at the hobbit.
Hopefully we've got some summoned monsters waiting to appear, we could use some mobile disposable hp.

Cal swings just as the halflings spell goes off. His blow hits the halfling across the head creating a large gash. The Yellow wizards 3 magic missiles fly across the room and blast into the halflings body creating blask marks and blowing him to the floor, but before he goes his own magic missiles are fired off, 3 hit into Calhagan for 9 pts, and two fire into Cadallin for 7. Subdolus attempts to move undetected but is spotted by the prince. Do you still want to move within range or throw weapons.

Seeing that he has been spotted and the halfling is down Subdolus makes his way to the prince weapons drawn.

Cal is blown off his feet as well by the halflings Magic Missiles and hits the ground at -6 (not dead, he'll die at -10).
Subdolus charges in with both weapons. His dagger scrapes off the unarmored prince, his clothing and skin as hard as rock, your scimitar however hits hard against his arm causing a thin crack threw it (and 9 pts damage). "What sort of man is this"? you think. "by the gods"! where you sword and dagger hit his clothing and skin, paint scraped off revealing a hard teek wood! "A wooden man".
I'll assume Tiberious helps Subdolus and throws his axes. Both hit and sink into the wood, sounding like a forester cutting down a tree. Combined you inflict 13 pts damage.
Fletcher and Ermanaric attack the demon with their magical blades. Fletchers fails to hit, (the terrifying demon is quick to dodge with so many eyes), keeping his nerve ermanaric stabs straight into the beast penetrating it for 12 total.
Sog rushes over to Cal and heals him for 7 pts. bringing him to 1 HP.
Initiaitve: Monsters 4 group 1.

The wooden golemn was not able to attack Subdolus last round due to its slowed condition, but this round it manages to swing a club pulsating with magic and a balled fist at the thief. The thiefs magical elven chain protects him from the club, but the balled fist punches him across the face for 14 pts damage!
Suddenly rising out of the fallen halflings body the group sees something that brings total horror to your souls. rising like smoke and then taking form is a ghost. All must save under 8th or age 10 years and flee in terror. Everyone in the group saves and holds their ground, and the 2 royal guard don't have to bother being such high level. The princess and king are too far back to have to save.
The group remembers hearing stories of a black and cloaked figure meeting with evil denziens through out the dungeon and you think this may be it. it looks about intimidating all and starts floating across the floor toward the fighters and princess beyond. As it crosses near Cadellin, he recognizes the evil face from the mural, the court wizard from over 1000 years ago perhaps aged 20 years. It moves to near the demon and holds its lantern toward the princess. You hear her see the ghost bringing back a flood of memories of being violated by it when she was its prisoner, she screams in horror "NOOOO"!. Suddenly you see a green flickering light leave the lamp and disappear in mid air, and a golden spark fly back into the lantern before the ghost disappears. The princess lowers her head as if in trance.
The demon attacks again (3 tentacles per person), this time inflicting 9 pts to Ermanaric, 7 pts to Fletcher, and the dwarf is hit with another scorpian like barb and effected by its acidic poison for 8. The old grey haired fighter avoids the attacks.
The normally beautiful girl suddenly looks up with evil eyes and her face twists. She drops her wand and takes aim at the backs of the 4 fighters casting a hold person spell. It appears the dwarf (despite a natural save ability fails rolling a 2, while everyone else makes their save, the old grey haired fighter on the dot due to a magical ring).
Group counter attack: Tiberious and Subdolus continue the attack on the teek golemn of the likeness of the prince. It seems to speak "shhhtuup, Oye cummund youuuuu...!" It sounds human but its tone and pronounciaotin are all off, plus the slow makes it speak in a drawn out manner. This round is devistating to the golemn as all 4 attacks hit, Tiberius does 13 total as does the thief for a total of 26 pts. The prince suddenly starts splitting down the center and its face develops a huge crack which you can see threw to the other side. It is close to the end you think.
The Fletcher and Ermanaric both miss, its combined hard rubbery skin, quick speed and gruesome eyes make it difficult to hit. Luckily the old grey haired guard hits for 11. The dwarf can't go as he is frozen now from hold person. The king is close enough to attack his daughter, but appears confused and also not sure what to do. He steps back seeing the change in her.
Sogathan helps Calhagn to his feet and casts another clw bringing him up 6 more pts.
Cadellin, did by chance here the halfling scream out "mico incendia" when he was firing his wand of magic missiles. The wand is now at the feet of the halfling body. You'd need to cross the room to get it (presently your in the hall looking into the room). What does the Yellow Wizard wish to do? You could attack the demon, the golemn or the princess who is obviously possessed by the ghost. Or of course, you could do something different. After you go I'll role initiative again.
PS I also forgot to mention darkness spells cover the wall opposite the entrance to the room, where you suspect windows would be found (assuming this is an outside wall). The darkness rises from floor to ceiling and sticks out about 6 inches from the wall.

Cadellin decides to dispell this darkness with a light spell, in the hope that daylight streaming in from the windows might make the ghost and/or the cthulhoid tentacly thing uncomfortable.

Tiberious, when he gets to act next, will throw both of his handaxes of returnig at the strange lamp, hoping to reverse its evil effect.

The darkness dispells allowing light from a single tall narrow french window to stream in. This does seem to have an effect on both the demon and possessed princess who start steaming a bit. The princess covers her eyes.
Tiberfious the lamp disappeared with the ghost.
