Also, when Cadellin removed the darkness spell from the window, besides day light coming in you see thick black smoke rising from below. You can't see the details without running up to the window and peering out. The window faces the harbor and lower town, and from the distance it seems its coming from that direction (possibly even the upper town).

Initiative: group 1 monsters 4 monsters go first.
The golemn charges at Subdolus who ducks the first attack but is smashed hard on the back for 5 pts.
The tentacled demon sees the dwarf now prone and scoops him up with its 3 powerful tentacles entwining around him. He is then lifted off his feet and brought above the creature. In horror the others watch helpless as a mouth opens (more a round hole with rows of sharp bone like teeth) and the dwarf is dropped in. After some crunching sounds and a burp the creature makes a loud weezing noise that you assume is a laugh. Its other 8 remaining tentacles go for the group as usual. 2 barbs hit the grey haired fighter and some of the acidic puss injects into him for a total of 11 (the fighter seems to be wavering). 2 stab into Ermanaric for 8 total (luckily he makes his saves) and 3 hit fletcher cutting threw his tough armor for a total of 18 pts (he failed one of his saves against the injection, it could have been worse). The princess having difficulty seeing casts mirror image producing 3 more images of herself.
The group can now go. Subdolus hits with his scimitar and cuts off the right arm of the golem, while the monks 2 axes both hit again ripping off its head. The wooden man falls to the ground, lifeless. Sog hits Cal one more time for 6, and the fighter rushes over to the demon attacking from the back. He hits with black sword (the large two handed blade he took from the pirate barbarian captain) doing 14 pts damage total. The other fighters all miss incredibly (dismal roles, perhaps terrifide at what they just witnessed happening to Razzeldor the dwarf).
4 lizard men appear at the spot where the yellow wizard summoned them. Where do you send them? Also, what action/spell does Cadellin wish to use?

Subdolus concentrates on the healing power of his scimitar then attempts to get the halflings wand to the yellow wizard.

Cadellin sends the lizard men to attack the demon-thing. Then he sticks the princess to the ground (and all of her mirror images too) with a web spell; we can figure out what to do about her when the demon-thing's out the way.

Initiative: 5,5 simo.
Subdolus finds the wand but also grabs the 2 rings and the boots warn by the ancient halfling (he recognizes these as originally warn by the court wizard (the one now lieing dead outside this room). The thief also notice that this is the oldest halfling he's ever seen, but it also looks familiar to you. To your horror it suddenly becomes obvious. This is Ruinbottle, your friend cook and fellow adventurer. The last you saw of him he was possessed (likely from this ghost you now battle) when he cast a fireball in the library of the dungeon. Your group barely survived that attack by jumping down into that lower room. You thought you'd found his body remains in that quezinart trap but apparently they weren't his afterall. regretably he is now dead. You start heading back to Cadellin with the wand. (let me know what you do with the rings and boots, do you put any of it on?)
Cadellin steps squarely into the room and lets loose his web spell at the princess just as she levels a spell toward him. The princess fails to save (rolling a 3) and all of her images are suddenly covered and glued to the floor with a web. The king luckily saves and jumps out of the way of the spell in the nick of time. Panting he smiles at the Yellow Wizard in thanks.
Tiberious throws his 2 axes now at the demon. One hits and does impressive damage causing a gyser of puss to erupt from the spot it hit. Cal attacks twice this round but the creature moves with lightning reflexes due to the eyes covering its body. Fletcher and Ermanaric also fail to hit the creature, only the grey haired royal guard knight hits with one of his blows for another 14 total.
Sog heads over to the demon and throws his flail hitting it for 6 pts damage. He then pulls his staff and prepares to fight.
The 4 lizard men attack the demon with long swords, but all miss, despite some really good thrusts.
Simo monsters: Just as the princess is about to be pinned with the web spell she casts charm person on Cadellin. Lucky for the group the Yellow Wizard has brought his A game and roles a natural 19! A smile of superiority crosses the old wizards face, he just can't help it. His suspicion is that this ghost wizard is much higher in level then he is. Subdolus brings him the wand of magic missiles as well as two rings and boots taken from the court wizard now cut to many pieces on the floor outside this room.
The demon seems to be getting a bit worried. It ignores the lizard men and focuses its attacks on the more powerful fighters. Of its 11 attacks, 3 hit the grey haired knight, this time doing 19 pts of damage to him and killing him (as he sizzles from the inside out from the puss acid injection...a horrible death from the looks of it. 2 hit Fletcher for 8 total (once again he saves v.s. the puss acid) 1 hits Calhagan for 6 total and another hits Ermanaric for 8 (the acid pumped into his flesh).
Initiative: Monsters 3 group 2. Suddenly the princess stops fighting and the black shadow rises from her body. The terrorfying ghost creates terror in all, only with incredible nerve to you stand your ground. It lifts its lantern toward the king, but he manages to shake off the attempt to magic jar him. The king charges the ghost and swings an incredible sword, it is a long sword that glows intensely violet. The ghost seems to fear it and when it swooshes it sings. The sword hits the ghost causing a rush of black smoke (for an instant) to errupt from its torso.
The demon tries to rush to aid the ghost but can't seem to move past the fighters. It attacks again. 1 tentacle hits Calhagan for 6 while 2 hit Sogathan for 8 (making his saves) 2 hit Fletcher for 11 pts and 1 hits Ermanaric for 3.
The demon also uses its telekinesis power (a ray of light shooting from one of its eyes) and picks up Cadellin (who fails rolling a 5) flinging him toward the narrow window across the room. The old wizard smashes threw the window with great force for 9 pts damage (cutting his back and arm) but luckily he makes his save (rolling a 13 vs petrification) grabbing broken window frame, and isn't dropped 100 feet to the courtyard below (thank the gods) You also managed to save your wand sticking it in your belt before impact.
Glancing back the yellow wizard sees several buildings in the lower town on fire and a battle taking place in the upper city near the top gate. Several pirate ships are off the coast firing catapolts at the lower city. While catapolts are being fired at the pirate ships from the upper keep and the lower keep. All in all, it looks like chaos down there. Tiberious rushes over with lightning speed and pulls the wizard, hanging on for dear life, back inside.
Groups counter (Tiberious and Cadellin can't go this round) let me know if anyone wants to switch attacks to the ghost.

OOC: Cool idea.
One of your daggers hits the lantern (just on the dot). The magical lantern fails to save (save role 6) and it shatters and is then dropped to the ground before it turns to black smoke and fades away. The lantern looked very similar looking to the one you found the princess in.
This greatly angers the ghost which stares at the half elf with intense evil. lowering its jaw it reveals blackness and ghostly breath as it screams at you, this causes your spine to want to jump out of your body, but you remain calm). Despite its sudden haterd fro you, its attention is still focused on the king.......some unfinished business it wishes to attend to.
What do the rest do?

Whittled back down, and with one hit point remaining, Calhagn crawls off to a shadowy corner.

OOC: Crap, I forgot to mention. Subdolus also found a bag inside the sachel carried by the formally possessed Ruinbottle. The bag was moving a bit, but didn't look particularly full. Let me know if you left that or grabbed it Stranger. Also, do you want to do anything with it for now?

Subdolus, your sword healed you for 18 pts last round. Also, you didn't make it over to the MU who was instead thrown across the room at the window. Do you wish to run over to him now (seeing he's not conscious) or do something else?

Tiberious will stand by the wizard and throw both magical handaxes at the ghost, hoping the magical axes will actually damage it.
