Sog whacks one with his staff (allowing it to turn into a snake) then draws his mace.

Zargon again attacks the hideous thing. OOC: I'll be offline from Thursday evening until Monday. Zargon will attack, and attack, and attack... until he can't attack no more...

OOC: no prob Zargon is in good hands! I'll post for Emeranic to keep things moving.
The 2 large pike (about 3 feet long) start flinging themsleves toward the steep edge of the island, their gills burning from exposure to the air. By the end of the round you both manage to make it (12, 15) and both drop into the fridgid water! You breath the water across your gills deeply, find your balance and head down instinctively searching for preditors. You see a dark cave entrance below going inside of the island...do you wish to investigate?
Sog raises his staff over his head and swings down hard on one of the sea witches, a loud crack is heard and she takes 8 pts (but still stands). Sog's staff then transforms into a large snake and attempts to entangle her, but misses (with a 2). Zargon swings twice at the girl he hit last round, horrifided that it is transforming into something long thick and slimey roughly the size of a giant snake. You hit with a natural 20 and do 15 pts damage cutting her body in half (its eel like halves thrashing about). Your second swing goes for another near you (an 18) inflicting 13 pts damage to it.
That leaves Sub and TIberious (you could attack one of the 5 charging the group, 2 already badly hurt, or the witch holding back chanting a spell in the circle.

Feeling Tiberiouus has a better chance at hitting the chanting hag Subdolus swings his scimitar at one of the injured witches.

When life gives you lemons .. or turns you into a fish ..
Calhagn will indeed make for the dark tunnel, keeping an eye out for any small fish to devour along the way.

Subdolus charges the one Zargon hit slicing off her arm and causing her to drop.
Tiberious (I'll assume) attacks the one in the circle. One bounces off an invisible force field surrounding her, the other penetrates and hits for 6, but more importantly disturbs the powerful spell she was casting.
Counter: Furious the one hit by Tiberious raises her hand and mutters something creating a powerful wind which blows the monk off his feet and into the air (save 2) as well as one of the sea witches heading his way. The witch lands in the water while Tiberious sumersulting lands feet up on a mini ice burg (save 14) and takes no damage from the fall; luckily the water at this moment is relatively calm. Looking around in the water he spotss the witch that also fell in not 10 feet away and 6 feet under, its violently jerking about as she grows long and fat, transforming into a giant eel (but she won't complete until next round).
The witch on Sogathan casts hold animal on Sog and his snake. Sog shakes it off with a 13 but his snake fails with a 4 and is held.
The other 2 sea witches run toward the enchanted pearl but are blocked by Subdolus and Zargon. One jumps on Subdolus opening its mouth revealing sharp teeth and bites hitting for 8 pts damage. Also a poison is injected into the thief, but luckily he shakes off its effects. This witch seems to be transforming into an eel as well.
The other one casts a spell at Zargon, who looses his ability to see for a moment but saves with an 18 regaining his site.
Init, 2,2. Simo, but you guys go ahead first.

Seeing little else in the way of an effective attack Subdolus swings at the witch that has bitten him in hopes of returning the favor.

To recap: Zargon (with Subs help) killed 2, Sog has injured one (for 8) and Tiberious has injured the leader (for 6). 1 uninjured is now in the water with Tiberious (transforming), 2 uninjured sea witches are on Subdolus and Zargon and Sog fights his own, mean time the leader remains in the circle.
Sog smashes the witch again for 7 pts damage but it doesn't go down, Subdolus swings on the one on him, now transformed into a giant eel (oddly still looking like the girl) hitting for 10 total. Zargon ignores the one on him and moves to attack the one on Sub (seeing his friends in mortal danger). Zargon swings and just hits on the dot, for 14 and killing it.
Tiberious will have to face a free back attack if he tries to flee (as the giant eel witch has raised out of the water and moved onto the ice preparing to attack). I'll assume he sticks around and uses his magic axe. He hits with an 18 and does 8 pts damage to it.
Calhagan and Ermaniric head into the dark underwater cave eating some small bait fish along the way (tastey morsals). Up ahead (going threw a short 10 foot passage) the water gets shallow and air can be seen above, also more bait fish flee further in getting away from you.
The cavern you enter your sure is somewhere below the island. Looking about the two Pike see the chamber is roughly 20x30 with a beach (about half is dry the other half ranging from 10 to 2 feet deep). On the cieling (10 feet up) are 6 holes 3x3 perhaps, you think, where the pit traps up above lead to. popping your head out of the water you spot a massive 7 armed brittel Star Fish poised at the edge of the shoreline. A school of bait fish you scared moves in its direction and you see it suddenly attacks with its 8 foot arms cetching dozens of fish which it first wraps up and then passes down to its engulfing mouth. You notice on the walls cieling and along the beach 4 more of these creatures crawling around. You also notice on land several skeletons laying on the ground wearing old heavily rusted armor. Of more interest to you however, is another skeleton 3 feet under the water with a bubble of air around its head!
This odd site draws you closer and you see the helm by the skull to be very odd...a pair of lenses over the eye sockets. This certainly (you think) is magical. You could probably grab this helm and together pull it off and carry it out.

If the oddly-helmed skeleton is comfortably far enough away from the giant star fish (all of them), then Cal and Erm will attempt to liberate the queer helm and make haste from this fishy death trap.
If it looks dicey, Cal suggests to Erm that they just make note of where the skeleton is and return to near the surface.

OOC: Axe, did you roll for the second hand axe as it appeared you only mentioned one axe (handaxe, not Axe, I mean um....)
Tiberious will continue to battle the creature relying on the magic wepaons and his combat skills.

OOC: No your right SKA I forgot your second axe attack.
Tiberious hits again (for 9 pts) causing a gash across the front of this horrid monstrosity, but she still lives.
OOC: now I'll do the monsters attack:
The eel on Subdolus though killed gets a final attack missing with a loud snap infront of Subdolus's face. The remaining sea witch on Zargon is starting to look desperate. She reaches forward with both arms and suddenly arcs of electricity shoot forth covering his armor. Failing to save you take 14 pts of electrical damage! You also see she is transforming into an eel greenish grey (like the one on Tiberious) rather then the almost black sort with poision (which was the sort Subdolus was almost bit by).
The eel-witch on Tiberious attempts to ensnare him with its fat body but fails to do so, however she is close enough to zap you with her electrical attack (for 17 pts damage) however you save for half (so 9 pts damage). She then attempts to bite but misses.
OOC: SKA are you high enough where if you save you take no damage and only half if you fail? I didn't allow for your petrification ability as its right on top of you on this small iceburge).
Sog yours pulls a magical dagger made of sharpenned shell dipped in poison and swings but misses by a long shot (rolling 1).
The witch in the center now pulls a black wand and aims at Zargon "Sykes" she screams and a grey beem hits the fighter. For a moment Zargon feels he's paralyzed but breaks the spells effects (with an 18)! OOC Lucky Dog!
The 2 pike adventurers see no starfish near by so go for the helmet. Its stuck at first but finally pulls free (along with the skull) The giant starfish don't seem to notice, but this does upset a 5 foot octopus living inside the rusty armor of this skeleton. It surprises for 1 round and captures Ermaneric with 2 tenticals (19 and 17) but misses Cal (4, 10). Its other tenticals are still inside. No damage is taken this round but its draging the large pike toward its mouth!
Initiative: Group 3 Monsters 2, you guys win again.

OOC: Ok, if they look human, then let's try this: Sog will cast Hold Person on two of them and see what happens.
