This is the village that we were going to capture it's people to bring to the slavers?
If so, let's try to figure out a way to cross the moat (exatly how wide? ) so the group can enter the village.
Sub. and Tiberious could perhaps takeout any sentries.
Does Casdellin have a detect invisibilty spell that might help with locating any hidden surprises?
I assume there is a bridge one oculd cross over? Or is there a drawbridge.?
If a drawbridge perhaps Sub and Tiberious could sneak over and lower it in the middle of the night.

Tiberious, you see that their is a drawbridge that is raised only at night (as you remember). The moat isn't that wide (10 feet) and covered in muddy water. Around the village is a wooden fense with watch posts. At the moment its afternoon and the bridge is down. Do you wish to sneak in or approach as a group (or something else)?

I reckon we should start with some ESP from that crown... detects invisible things, figures out if we're expected, etc.
For the actual entry into the town, that looks like a good time to use a polymorph other spell creatively. Anyone fancy being a roc or dragon?

Zargon seems to enjoy the idea of being a dragon, but says he understand if you don't want to choose him as the most experianced fighter.
Sogathan uses his elvish ESP crown and reads the minds of those he can see. "Umm I detect no minds at all, I suspect those are zombies mulling around to make things look normal". Scanning around you notice an odd absence of any goats or sheep (never mind the flocks of 100s you saw last time you were here a week ago). More scanning by the cleric reveals that at least 20 minds are inside the "great hall" were courts were held as you remember. "They seem to be chanting. And one in particular is casting or controlling something, don't know what". Sog takes off the crown and slumps a bit exhausted, his eyes popping out a bit more then usual.

Okay, so then everyone in that hall must be evil. Let's bar them in and burn the building to the ground.

Do you no longer wish to capture these guys and sell them to slavers then (Tiberious's (I think) plan was to sell them on the coast and then follow the slavers back to their base as I recall and then wipe out everyone (except the real slaves of course)? Basically leave this area and head to something new.

Sorry for the long wait.
I like the idea of trapping all inside and burning the place to the ground. As long as we wipeout all of these people of Val, the monk is happy.
